THERESIA HAUER® TRUFFLES & CAKES
Recognizing the cultural significance of chocolate, our company has contributed to the history of chocolate production since 1850 with numerous innovations.
This is embodied by the brand and history of the remarkable 19th-century entrepreneur Theresia Hauer®.
She is the founder of our company, a pioneer of white chocolate, gluten-free chocolate travel cakes (made with ground almonds instead of flour) that stay moist and fresh for weeks and months, and nougat-marzipan pralines.
Her branches at St. Stephen's Square in Vienna (established in 1875), in Munich and London (established in 1890), and her deliveries to Queen Victoria and exports of her "travel cakes" as far as Cairo are well-known.
LIPIZZAN® CAKES & LIPIZZAN® TRUFFLES
“Love, wedding, travel, honeymoon, travel cake”
While our LIPIZZAN® brand initially stood only for the color white (white chocolate), in 1890 it acquired another emotional significance connected to Theresia Hauer's "Lipizzaner Torte":
The unique love story of Karl Count zu Leiningen and Christine, Theresia Hauer's daughter.
Directly from this, LIPIZZAN® evolved into a romantic line encompassing "love, wedding, travel, honeymoon, and travel cake," a theme still reflected today in our modular READY TO GO WEDDING CAKES, layered from various sizes of the
LIPIZZAN® CAKE.
"Always a smile on my face"
Our brand, featuring the smiling, young Mozart, tells the story of Mozart's longest international tour, undertaken as a 10-year-old in 1766 through Switzerland.
The slogan, "ALWAYS A SMILE ON YOUR FACE" arises naturally when you say the MOZARTCHÜGELI® brand name and connects with the radiant, smiling portrait of young Mozart.
By spreading joy, the new product develops a refreshing dynamism.
These rum and coconut balls are an homage to the yellow raincoats. The resealable, waterproof bags made of sturdy, satin-finish material reflect this feel.
The storytelling describes the invigorating feeling of life that aligns with our slogans:
“KEEPS YOU WARM IN ANY STORM”
Sustainability and responsibility
At Leconte Chocolatiers, we have always pursued ambitious sustainability goals by focusing on environmentally friendly materials and reducing our carbon footprint.
Recyclability is a good thing.
But it is even more effective to reuse our robust, resealable, waterproof stand-up pouches for the FRIESENNERZKUGEL®in style of the famous signal-Yellow rain jacket for a long time. With their rubbery, matte finish reminiscent of waterproof rainwear, they serve as an added benefit for the waterproof packaging of everyday items. This innovative packaging also complies with the new EU packaging directives, which will apply from August 2026.
